On Friday, January 29, the Robinson Film Center, 627 Texas Street, held a fundraiser featuring Matthew Broderick from the film Wonderful World, a movie produced in the Shreveport area by actor and director Joshua Goldin.

There were two showings of Wonderful World, and both screenings were followed by a Q & A with the actor and director.

Among the guests was Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, who presented Broderick with a plaque stating that January 29th, 2010 was officially recognized as "Matthew Broderick Day" in Shreveport as well as a key to the city.

Local musician James Burton was also featured in the film.

Wonderful World will be showing until February 11 at the Robinson Film Center.
